SportSign Erasmus+ Physical Activity and deafness

This lecture was part of the annual week to celebrate the anniversary of the Soares dos Reis Arts School – VIV’A SOARES 2021 | 10th Edition. It counted with the participation of a deaf Physical Education teacher (Ana Silva), two sign language interpreters and about 75 students (including 24 at a distance). The event aimed at:

i) raising awareness of the educational community to the importance of including deaf students in the context of physical activity;

ii) presenting the results of the comparative study carried out within the scope of the “SportSign” project;

iii) stimulating the participation of all students increasing a greater understanding of the universe of deaf students.
